Why is it worth blowing in a cable using cable tips?

The main advantage of using cable tips is that the tip is rounded, which allows the cable

to slide more smoothly and reduces the likelihood of the cable

getting stuck in the connector. Additionally, the ferrule protects against fibers—which often protrude from the end of the cable

—that can slip out from under the protective jacket and block the path

of the cable during blowing.
