Description
CERGUM MAX – a modified polymer used in HDD guided drilling.
The product is used in the drilling industry, used as a viscosity moderator and thickener for drilling mud in HDD drilling operations. The product helps increase viscosity through easy dispersion in aqueous systems. It also has an effect on lowering filtration.
The carboxymethylcellulose used in it, in the form of a sodium salt, is mostly used as an auxiliary agent, acting as a protective colloid, thickener, stabilizer of emulsions and suspensions, plasticizer, and binding and film-forming agent.
PACKAGE CAPACITY: 6 kg bag.
APPLICATIONS:
- An agent for lowering filtration, a stabilizer of rheological parameters.
PHYSICAL PARAMETERS:
- concentration – 0.3-0.4%
- form: powder
- color: white to cream
- pH value – 6.5-8
BENEFITS:
- Very good solubility avoids problems during mixing,
- Effectively reducing the level of filtration of the scrubber and increasing viscosity,
- Initial inhibition of clay and shale layers,
- increases the stability of the borehole wall
- reduces the phenomenon of dispersion of borings (facilitates their removal),
- shows compatibility with other polymers used to lower filtration and regulate rheology,
- due to its high purity, only slightly affects the ionic balance of the drilling fluid,
- increased efficiency allows the use of smaller concentrations of material for good performance,
- allows the preparation of a filamentless drilling fluid without solids,
- high efficiency over a wide pH range of the water medium,
- improves the lubricity of the drilling mud, thus improving rock borability, reducing the hydraulic resistance of the mud and the torsional torque of the drill pipe,
- widely used, as a component of polymer and bentonite-polymer scrubbers,
- shows no direct harmful effects on the natural environment.
