SANDCER ™ is a bentonite-mineral composition designed for filling culvert pipes in cable lines covering a wide range of their construction and operation. It is mainly used in the construction of medium voltage cable lines (15-20 kV) and in 110 kV cable lines. The use of the product allows to increase the current carrying capacity of cables in pipes and improves the conditions of their operation.

Sandcer – is a cable bentonite, which is used to seal and fill the space between the installed electrical cable and the wall of the casing most often a pipe. Application of the product allows to reduce the thermal resistivity of the system. In addition, filling the space with Sandcer material helps keep the cables in a rigid system. The material allows first filling all voids inside the cable pipe during installation and then setting during operation. If necessary, the product liquefies (washes out) and allows the cable to be pulled out of the protective tubing.

The use of Sandcer™ as a material for covering medium voltage cable lines provides the following benefits:

Preparation of leaven:

The recommended W/S – water/ grout ratio is 0.65. This means that for 1 m³ of grout, we need 930 kg of SANDCER ™ and 620 l of water. The density of the grout should oscillate ≈ 1.6-1.7 g/cm³. In order to properly control the quality of the material at the construction site, the density of the grout should be measured continuously to ensure proper and even filling.
